March makes

A house moving basket for a friend and a bag from the remains of the curtain fabric. The fabric key ring came from this tutorial.

Charity sew – March

On Monday I attended a charity sew workshop at Made and Making. We made heart shaped cushions for breast cancer patients designed to give pain relief, cheer and comfort for people recovering from a mastectomy.

I set myself the deadline of when the clocks go forward to make some new blackout lined curtains for our bedroom as the old ones were rather thin (made from recycled duvet covers and sheets!). I wanted them to look contemporary but had to go with the rail we already had up, so decided on a wave style using Clarke and Clarke fabric. I am pretty pleased with the way they have turned out – a bit of a ta-dah moment!
